Product Assurance Software Engineer

We are seeking a Software Engineer for our Product Assurance Team who will be responsible for the execution of product assurance activities including failure investigations, reliability engineering, verification and validation of revised designs, and configuration management for multiple programs. This is a hands-on position within a Product Assurance Team and is responsible for adherence to all quality policies and procedures to ensure all products meet all requirements. The position may require traveling to customer facilities or field sites in support of product failure investigations / data gathering.
The selected candidate will have the capability to offer sound technical judgement and have a proven track record of participating in the design and successful development of electronics hardware products and associated environmental testing and compliances. He/she is expected to be familiar with working in AS9100/9110, ISO 17025 and CMMI Level 3 quality management processes.
Knowledge & Experience
3+ years of experience in a similar position in an electronics manufacturing company.
Ability to validate and verify firmware/software.
Expertise in one or more of the following is desired – LABView, OpenCL, C, C++, RTC, RTOS, Linux, DOORS, Eclipse, Windows, Rhapsody, DO-178.
Experience with Failure Analysis, managing Failure Review Board, FRACAS processes.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and large dataset analysis.
Knowledge of and experience with aerospace quality requirements/processes.
Experience with AS9100, AS9110, AS9102, and CMMI-DEV Level 3 quality management processes.
Experience with avionics applications.
Understanding of Configuration Management and Document Control processes.
Experience in electro-mechanical and visual inspection processes and requirements (IPC-A-610).
Understanding of FAA Part 21 - Airworthiness.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
Must have ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
