Dir . Of Software Engineer

Seeking a Dir. of Software Engineer in Arizona (Full Time)

·Work with multiple teams to define and implement architectural solutions for clinical applications and distribution

· Analyze and define internal and external customer requirements for clinical data exchange

· Bring people together to meet common goals using facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills. Build and advance collaborative relationships with business partners, product managers and IT partners

·Assess financial impact of proposed solutions

·Support UAT (User Acceptance testing) for implemented solutions

·Understand and ensure adherence to enterprise technology standards (e.g. solution patterns, application frameworks, technology roadmaps, capital plans) or follow exception/waiver processes as needed

·Provide technical and data standards subject matter expertise to business team

·Mentor business team on technology solutions and data standards

·Contribute to the product roadmap for the product; own the technical roadmap / solution-side roadmaps

·Provide expertise in applications / software evaluation, selection and implementation

·Hands-on solution development and validation as needed

·Support and steer employees and project teams through efficient design, development, testing, and deploy phases

·Ensure solutions are of high quality, are high performance and are scalable

·Excellent oral and written communication skills including facilitation, influencing and negotiation

·Strive to be a thought leader and advanced practitioner in clinical data integration related creative tools and tactics; forward-thinking in understanding the emerging tools, technologies, and business practices and progressive in learning the application of these tools and practices

·Lead and direct team of technical healthcare data specialists (Onshore and offshore)

·Create and provide reporting to program leadership and clients to accurately communicate status, issues, risks, recommendations

·Manage program and partner expectations and relationships

·Ensure necessary quality assurance processes are in implemented and followed

·Responsible for driving the Satellite Healthcare culture through values and customer service standards

·Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers

·Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication

·Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner

Education & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

· 10+ years of experience with clinical data intensive, scalable, high throughput platforms

· Experience with healthcare data and healthcare data standards

· Experience with modern technologies and engineering practices

· Experience facilitating and leading clinical application design, architecture & delivery planning activities across geographically diverse and multi-disciplinary teams

· Strong communication skills including explaining complex concepts effectively to technical and nontechnical audience, negotiation and persuasion, conflict resolution, and presenting to executive levels management

·Strong leadership skills and experience with multi-functional global teams

·Ability to see the big picture and map out digital strategy

·Passion to drive Content Strategy using Structured Data

·Demonstrated exceptional customer skills from previous employment, strong empathy for customers and customer success

·Experience with using Agile practices

·Prior engineering leadership experience

·10+ years of professional software development experience in either C#, C++, Java, HTML5 / JavaScript / React or ASP.NET.

·Knowledgeable in industry standard patterns, practices and technologies (e.g. SaaS, Web Services, SOA, Big Data technologies, Mobile, PaaS, etc.)

·Large system architecture and design.

·SDLC knowledge with strong CI / CD skills

· Experience in web technologies

· Real passion for technology or amazing user experiences (UX)

· Strong problem solving and algorithm development skills

· Self-motivated and comfortable dealing with ambiguity

· Prior experience collaborating with designers

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· 10+ years of experience leading solutions architecture and/or enterprise architecture for clinical data intensive, scalable, high throughput platforms and applications leveraging knowledge of healthcare standards, data marts, newer technologies and engineering practices

· 3+ years of clinical data integration or clinical data interoperability experience

· Combine tactical roadmaps and customer requirements into a compelling product and evangelize that vision within the organization

· Possess the ability to deliver initiatives from concept through completion

· Demonstrated ability to innovate with a deep technical understanding of emerging technologies to address needs and problems of providing services to large and technically progressive organizations

· Experience with formulating technology strategy, budget, and policies at multiple levels of an organization

· Experience in healthcare vertical including EMR, Health Insurance, Acute care, Post-Acute, Health Systems, and HIE

· Experience with integration technologies including: Ensemble, Cache, HealthShare or other interoperability platforms such as Mirth, Orion Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, eGate, JCAPS, InterSystems, Optum, etc.

· Experience with both existing and emerging interoperability standards such as HL7 V2.x, (essential) as well as CCD, C - CDA XML V3, IHE profile, FHIR (desirable)

· Knowledge of FHIR, REST and web services APIs, big data, MLAI

· Strong leadership skills having lead changes in large multi-functional global teams and using Agile practices

· Knowledge of leading Provider EMR systems including Epic, Cerner, GE, Allscripts, Meditech or HIE

· Experienced designing EMR, HIE, or other provider or clinical data integration systems

· HEDIS/Stars experience

· Knowledge of Security, Privacy, and PHI/PII concerns

· Experience with writing business requirements for clinical data applications and data interfaces

· Experience with complete software development life cycle

· Able to read, write, speak, understand and satisfactorily communicate with others in English in person, over the phone and via email.
